This workshop will explore teaching young filmmakers to recognize the existence and importance of the wide range of legal matters involved in the development, production and distribution of visual media.  Whether they wish to acquire rights to a life story or a literary work, write an original screenplay, or produce a documentary, a feature film or a short film, they must address numerous legal matters if they want their works to be distributed and seen.
